DIY Mosaic Pot Decoration Technique

Technique to Make Pots

 This technique can be used for anything, not just for pots, but is ideal for decorating gardens and patios.

Materials:

* Terracotta Pot
* Black and White Tile
* Rule of metal
* Hammer
* Pencil HW
* Clamp separately
* Pincer
* Synthetic adhesive tiles
* Pastina
* Tone or black acrylic
* Cloth

Procedure to Make Pots:

  1. Straight cut tile, place the metal straight edge parallel to the tile and draw a line, by pressure with the pencil HW. Review several times over the trademark to break the glass layer of the tile.
  2. Place the clamp to separate at the end of the marking on the tile, matching it with the center line that brings a strong clip. The lobby and the tile will crack easily along the line. Once obtained, straight strips of tile are made to make new cuts straight to the iron parts for rectangular or square tiles.
  3. Uneven cutting of tiles: put a cloth on the right and hit the tile with a hammer to break it into small pieces. The placement of the cloth, jump prevents splinters.
  4. Tile Application: Place synthetic glue on the top edge of the pot. Press the adhesive rectangular pieces of tile side by side with a small separation.
  5. Repeat the procedure on the body of the pot, using irregular pieces of white tiles by placing one next to another as if a puzzle. Let the glue dry thoroughly.
  6. Prepare the grout with water and apply it over the joints of tiles, covering the entire edge of the pot.
  7. Coloring with a hint of black acrylic tone or the grout, which, when dried, makes a gray color.
  8. Apply the colored grout on the white tiles covered sector. Thus, darker grout will emphasize the shape of each tile.
  9. With a damp cloth, remove excess grout from the whole piece. Then rub with a dry cloth.
